Modernization of 250 MW Units - Turów Power Plant


Client outcomes: Increasing the operational reliability of the units, modernizing control and safety systems, and adapting the technical infrastructure to the requirements of modern energy.

ControlTec participated in the modernization of 250 MW Units 1, 2, and 3 at Turów Power Plant—one of the key lignite-fired power plants in Poland. The scope of work covered electrical and instrumentation, including the implementation of control and safety systems and the modernization of power distribution systems and medium voltage systems.

Modernization of 250 MW Units - Turów Power Plant


Client outcomes: Improving the stability of the CHP plant, increasing control over the steam process, and modernizing key control, measurement, and safety systems.

ControlTec completed a comprehensive modernization of the control and process safety systems at one of the largest industrial combined heat and power plants in Poland. The scope included systems for five steam boilers with a capacity of 230 t/h, one 430 t/h boiler, three turboblowers, and a steam turbine.

SWCC Shoaiba — Water Desalination Plant


Client outcomes: Ensuring stable control of the water desalination plant and safe process startup.

ControlTec participated in the automation project for the SWCC Shoaiba desalination plant. The scope of work included the technical design of control system platforms, programming, and implementation of control and process safety systems based on the Emerson Ovation platform.

Maritsa Iztok-1 - AES Power Plant


Client outcomes: More effective achievement of the plant's target parameters, reducing start-up risks, and improving the stability and efficiency of the technological process.

ControlTec provided technical supervision, consulting, and commissioning support at the Maritsa Iztok-1 Power Plant, owned by AES Corporation. Nowa Czechnica CHP Plant – CCGT Combined Cycle Unit


Client outcomes: A coherent control system for a modern gas-steam unit, increasing process safety, and preparing the plant for stable operational operation.

ControlTec was responsible for the comprehensive implementation of the control system for the CCGT combined cycle unit and auxiliary boiler house at Nowa Czechnica CHP Plant – the largest plant of its kind in southwestern Poland. The project included detailed design, delivery, programming, testing, and commissioning of the plant.

GPEC Gdańsk — Telemetry System and Smart District Heating Networks


Client outcomes: Improved visibility of the district heating network's operation, centralization of data from distributed facilities, support for operators in decision-making, and the ability to further optimize infrastructure operation.

ControlTec implemented a telemetry system based on the ICONICS environment, encompassing over 5,000 variables, over 100 local controllers, and 13 object classes. The project also expanded to include smart district heating networks, supporting operators in data acquisition, analysis, and management of distributed infrastructure.

CCGT Stalowa Wola – Control and Instrumentation Modernization


Client outcomes: Increased safety and reliability of the CCGT unit's operation, improved control over key technological systems, and modernized the instrumentation, control and telecommunications infrastructure.

ControlTec carried out modernization work for the CCGT Stalowa Wola combined cycle unit – one of the largest CCGT installations in southeastern Poland. The scope included the implementation of a steam turbine controller, modernization of control and measurement equipment, as well as gas and fire detection systems, CCTV, and other telecommunications systems.

ORLEN Termika EC Żerań - CCGT unit


Client outcomes: Improved preparation of the commissioning process, streamlined technical documentation, and support in confirming the functional safety of the new CCGT unit.

ControlTec provided technical services related to the commissioning and certification of the new CCGT unit at the Żerań CHP plant. The scope included the preparation of technical documentation regarding functional safety and the planning and coordination of functional tests with the commissioning units.
